Take Your Photography to the Next Level
From Inspiration to Image
This book is for the photographer who strives to achieve a higher level of results in their work. Take Your Photography to the Next Level is based on a series of essays originally featured on the popular Luminous Landscape website. Barr tackles some of the rarely discussed, yet essential aspects of successful photography. Here is where photographers will learn what is required in order to grow in their creativity and to gain a deeper understanding of their craft.
With a foreward by Michael Reichmann.
Topics include:
Creativity
Dealing with disappointment
Developing an eye
Making stronger images
What photographs well
Where to go looking for the best photographic subjects
How to approach subject material
A great image is just around the corner

Becoming a self-aware photographer

Free general admission tickets are available on the first Saturday of every month, thanks to the citizens who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. General admission tickets do not include ticketed exhibitions, such as Artisans & Kings.
Pick up free tickets on-site starting at 10 am. Availability is limited. Limit one free ticket per person. Sorry, no tickets will be issued in advance.
When is the best time to visit?
First Free Saturdays are very popular, and demand for free tickets is especially high during the afternoon hours. Come early—before 11 am—to avoid the crowds.
If it's free, why do I need a ticket?
To prevent overcrowding on First Free Saturdays, we issue timed tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. If all tickets for a given timeslot have been distributed, you may have to wait to enter the museum, so please plan accordingly.
Where should I park?
Take advantage of a special flat rate in the Cultural Complex Garage on Free First Saturdays. Pay just $5 on entry and stay all day. During community festivals, such as Cinco de Mayo and A Taste of Colorado, the rate is $10 per day.
