PRESS RELEASE

August 2008

IPC Ignite today announces superlative ABCe results across three of its iconic brands – NME, Nuts and Loaded – as it prepares to unveil its next round of Group Product Reports on Thursday, August 14.

The audited results for June 2008 reveal major growth in unique users for all three brands, with Nuts.co.uk delivering a 121% year-on-year increase, while NME.com unveils a 107% year-on-year increase and Loaded.co.uk delivers a 51% increase year-on-year.

Nuts unveils a figure of 1,398,243 unique users for Nuts.co.uk in June, up by 766,776 from 631,467 in June 2007. This outstanding growth has been driven by an expanded Nuts Video section, exclusive Nuts TV content and the launch of social networking platform MyNuts – and makes Nuts.co.uk the fastest growing men’s lifestyle website in the UK.

Meanwhile the award-winning NME, which was named PPA Consumer Media Brand of the Year in May, also showcases sterling growth on the year, delivering 3,501,326 unique users for NME.com, up by 1,808,130 from 1,693,196 in June 2007. NME.com is internationally famous for its groundbreaking music news and features, and growth has been driven by greater multi-media coverage than ever before and a continued evolution of its video strategy.

And Loaded, the brand which set the pace for modern men’s media, can reveal a figure of 311,610 unique users for Loaded.co.uk, up by 104,658 from 206,952 in June.

IPC Ignite managing director Eric Fuller says: "The numbers speak for themselves. Nuts, NME and Loaded continue to thrive online, delivering truly unique branded experiences to highly sophisticated users of different media channels. Our strategy to enrich each of the sites with bespoke multi media content is reaping tremendous results."

NME publishing director Paul Cheal adds: "NME is dedicated to optimising cross-platform content, extending brand reach, taking its music-loving audience in new directions and offering innovative solutions for advertisers. Via its various platforms – print, NME Radio, NME TV, mobile, online, events – NME reaches up to 1.5 million music enthusiasts every week."

Nuts and Loaded publishing director Jo Smalley adds: "Nuts.co.uk delivered over 50 million page impressions in June alone, revealing the true power of the Nuts brand online. And together, Nuts and Loaded reach over 1.7 million users every month, underlining Ignite’s success in giving men what they want across all platforms – print, online, live events, mobile and TV."

Ignite group digital editor Anthony Thornton adds: "These results are a fine testament to the skill and ability of the teams working on the Ignite online brands. The whole team at IPC Ignite is integrated across editorial, technical, commercial and marketing in a way unsurpassed in publishing. The Ignite Digital team is a true powerhouse in online publishing: clear market leaders."

The Group Products Reports, incorporating print and online circulation, will be published on Thursday, 14 August.

    PRESS RELEASE

    August 2008

Autumn Graphics is an independent, privately owned firm founded in 1982 that specializes in prepress production, plate production, and graphics management services for consumer product goods companies, converters, printers and advertising agencies. The company is the first in Canada to install the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System, which was recently awarded the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech™ Technology Award for excellence in innovative technology.

“The offerings in the industry for imaging plates are always improving with each new generation, and we follow those developments very closely, investing in the right technology at the right time and implementing those solutions to provide the best plates for our customers,” said Ben Abray, President, Autumn Graphics. “Our customers appreciate our dedication to providing the best quality products and services.”

Providing offset class, gravure quality on a wide variety of substrates—including paper, flexible film, foil, label stock, and folding cartons—the integrated FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System includes the KODAK FLEXCEL NXH Digital Flexographic Plates, KODAK FLEXCEL NX Thermal Imaging Layer, KODAK TRENDSETTER NX Narrow Imager or KODAK TRENDSETTER NX Mid Imager, KODAK FLEXCEL NX Laminator, and KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology.

“The benefits are exactly what we hoped for and more. Our customers are finding excellent on press performance and our operators are reporting ease of use in the early stages,” said Abray.

Because the Thermal Imaging Layer is laminated directly to the plate, there is no issue with oxygen attack, enabling the formation of stable, full amplitude, flat top dots on the plate. This dot structure significantly reduces dot gain and dramatically improves print consistency and quality while providing repeatable results with a full tonal range.

Abray also is enthusiastic about advantages such as the ability to print subtle gradations and all levels of gray, highlight dots as small as 10 microns, excellent ink transfer, smooth solids, uniform laydown, and excellent ozone resistance. As more time is spent in production, operators will gain a better understanding of the advantages and have more opportunity to work with customers to maximize the process.

Autumn Graphics is excited about the future and feels that the solutions now in place will position the company well for future success. With an 18,000 sq. ft. custom designed facility built in 2002, the company leverages the experience of its 30 employees to deliver quality plates and services to its customers, and having the right tools is critical to maintaining a leadership position within the market.

KODAK Products are backed by KODAK Service and Support. KODAK Service and Support is made up of more than 3,000 professionals reaching more than 120 countries. It is a leading multi-vendor integrated services provider, delivering consulting, installation, maintenance and support services for the commercial printing, graphic communications, document imaging and data storage industries.
