100% Norway

design from Scandinavia's most scenic Western quarter. Curated by Henrietta Thompson, the 100% Norway stand is being designed by Brendeland & Kristoffersen, these supertalented young architects are from Trondheim. The key feature is to be a two-storey, glass fronted wooden "box" which is essentially the bedroom element of a social housing project they built in Svartlamoen.

Also featuring are new works in production both from Norway's more established talents alongside new names who have never before shown outside Scandinavia. Up and coming names to look out for are Daniel Rybakken, StokkeAustad, Treidt & Tornøe, and one of Norway?s most celebrated designers, Peter Opsvik who presents the Penguin chair for Varier furniture.

100% Sustainable
Following the success of last year's event, 100% Design has again invited University of Brighton's IF: Laboratory directors Nick Gant and Jonathan Chapman to create another event space that will bring sustainable design
discourse, discussion, and debate to the floor of 100% Design. The theme for this year's event is "Models of Sustainable Design" and will demonstrate issues of scale, contradiction, and minimisation presented as a model railway.

Running through the landscapes will be trains laden with miniature products. Visitors will be able to drive the trains and position them in front of live television cameras that will then beam pictures of the exhibits out onto screens around the stand at Earls Court.

Levantina Bar
Dynamic design trio, Lime Studio, has been commissioned by Tom Dixon to design the main bar area for the exhibition. Working closely with Levantina – the worldwide leader in the natural stone market, Lime Studio is creating a breathtaking bar teamed with specially designed tables and seating. Lucky visitors to the last day of the show will be able to purchase key pieces from the bar sold on a first come first served basis.

Dupont Corian® and Holgersen Llewellyn Ice Light Installation
The interactive Corian® light installation is a celebration of Corian's new translucent colours - 'The Illumination series'. The idea has been to create a blend of colour, depth and light. The impressive 1600 x 1600mm chandeliers are built from layers of thermo foiled Corian®. The different layers are individually motorised and are controlled by the flow of people and their interaction with the installation, making the translucent layers rotate in different directions and speed - adjusting the light volume accordingly. The chandeliers will be in constant transformation reflecting the endless possibilities of colour-blend?s and variations in light breaking through the Corian® surfaces.
