Inspired by poetry slams, reality television competitions, and celebrity death matches, the ‘New Amsterdam Bike Slam’ is a unique battle for the future of New York City transportation.
Two teams will compete to design the most creative, compelling vision to increase bicycling in lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor District.
A symposium on ‘Global Trends in Sustainability,’ the final design battle, as well as an award ceremony presented by Mayor of Amsterdam Job Cohen are all open to guests.
