Disaster-shaken Haiti was never anticipated but designers have been roused to come to its aid. In response, the graphics design profession, now united over this effort, has come up with a logo which is hoped to help publicize the initiative and function as a reference connecting those involved in this outreach.
There will be monetary collection efforts through donation drives, auctions, sale of fair trade products and more in the coming days. Donors are encouraged to give as they can afford and download the logo for this effort to use on their respective Web sites, blogs, social networks, to spread the awareness. Collections will be reflected on record.
Collections will go to the Red Cross, one of the most prestigious humanitarian aid organizations, and one of the first to be on scene at the disaster area.
