PRESS RELEASE

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Onstream Media Corporation (Nasdaq: ONSM), a leading online service provider of live and on- demand, digital media communications and applications, reported today that its Entertainment Digital Network subsidiary (EDNet) was once again instrumental in providing audio and video connectivity and collaboration services to the Motion Picture, Television, Music and Advertising Industries during 2006.

Onstream Media's EDNet division was responsible for providing its connectivity and collaboration services for major motion pictures, including The Da Vinci Code, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3, The Departed, Notes on a Scandal, Dreamgirls, Simpsons the Movie, Blood Diamond, Night at the Museum, The Good Shepherd, Charlotte's Web, and Letters from Iwo Jima.

In addition to major motion pictures, Onstream Media's EDNet services continue to be used in many popular television shows including Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, The Simpsons, Prison Break, Everwood, CSI: Las Vegas, CSI: Miami, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, The OC, Medium, 24 and Desperate Housewives. As a result of the importance of these services, several of these TV shows, including Medium and 24, which shoot on tight schedules at stages off the studio lots, have established permanent installations of EDNet's audio and video equipment. With EDNet, directors can now supervise production remotely without ever leaving their shooting stages-a significant time and cost savings benefit. For example, EDNet's video tools were employed to allow distant directors of ABC Family shows Kyle XY and Three Moons over Milford, shooting at remote locations in Vancouver, BC, to participate in the editing of their series' episodes occurring hundreds of miles away in Burbank, California.

Onstream Media also provides EDNet services to mid- and large size advertising agencies for the creation of television and radio commercials for brands in many segments of the economy. In the last six months of 2006, Onstream Media assisted in developing commercial spots for Home Depot, Kohls, TJ Maxx, McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Toyota, Lincoln Mercury, Mazda, AT&T, US Cellular, Verizon, Nintendo, Visa, HP, Coke and Pepsi.

In an age when air travel is stressful and time consuming, the Music Industry takes advantage of EDNet's bi-directional connections which allow record company producers and executives to supervise distant recording sessions from their offices and conference rooms. Industry notables Harry Connick Jr., Bruce Springsteen, and Danny Elfman communicate with record companies in this way. The same technology is also employed for "virtual press junkets." For example, Aerosmith used EDNet's services to connect to dozens of radio stations across the country in a single afternoon to do individual live interviews, avoiding having to leave the comfort of their home studio.

Onstream Media also announced that it plans to extend its EDNet high- fidelity connectivity tools from its current ISDN, T1 and other private line circuits onto the Internet and introduce a new service "HD Audio Online" to expand the company's user base. "Our new High Definition Audio Web-Based Services will offer our clients the ability to produce Internet-based HD audio concerts, worship services, global intra-corporate communications and studio collaborations. In essence, studio quality sound will be delivered live over the Internet to multiple locations," said Randy Selman, President and CEO of Onstream Media.
