Job Description:


Candidates need at least 4 years of experience designing large corporate or consumer sites with both informational and e-commerce capabilities.. Candidates must have strong design and technical skills with an emphasis on user-experience. A background in print is a huge plus.

Web Designers will be responsible for everything from creating the look and feel of sites at initial concept to completion, concentrating on the elements of visual appeal, usability, and navigation. They will need to ensure consistency in style and graphic elements and incorporate site-wide branding and style color and typeface standards as well as accomplish the following:

Strategizing to arrive at a cohesive vision and organization for both internal and external Web sites
Working with project teams to determine site, page, and applications requirements
Creating test pages, templates, and other graphic elements
Staying up-to-date on standards and best practices in Web site development
Ensuring site design integrity and quality control

Of course, it goes without saying that they should be an on-their-feet thinkers and able to meet stringent deadlines and conceptualize with multiple options and solutions for every project that comes down the pike.

Must be proficient in the following:

  • Dreamweaver and/or GoLive

  • HTML

  • Photoshop

  • Illustrator

  • Dreamweaver

  • Flash ActionScript (3.0 is a huge plus!)

  • Web Production skills

  • Knowledge of other Web apps

    For consideration, they'll need to see at least 3 professional functional and live corporate or consumer sites (screen shots and/or URLs). Talent without their own promo sites CAN NOT be considered.
