Ringling College of Art and Design has announced a strategic affiliation agreement with the International Center of Photography (ICP), which will provide select Ringling students an opportunity to study at the Manhattan-based ICP for one year, beginning with the 2009-2010 academic year.
"Ringling College's affiliation with the International Center of Photography in New York City is an outstanding opportunity for the college, its students, and faculty to interact with one of the most respected photographic educational organizations in the world," said Thomas Carabasi, Photography & Digital Imaging department head.
"In addition to selected students being able to study at ICP," Carabasi said, "we are looking forward to the intellectual and cultural exchange opportunities this connection represents as we move forward with the development of our major. We are honored that we are one of the few undergraduate departments in the country to be selected for this type of program."
