The sudden passing of Kobe Bryant shook the world, moving fans all over to send in tributes to the NBA legend.
In NYC, locals are revering the late Los Angeles Lakers star by transforming a quintessentially New York aspect, a subway station, in his honor.
The temporary sign was placed at 42nd St-Bryant Park Station, with “42nd St” being covered with “Kobe” to read “Kobe Bryant Park.”
Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others. The father and child are survived by his wife, Vanessa Laine, and Bryant and Laine’s three daughters.
