Wes Anderson’s upcoming film The French Dipatch now has an official poster.
Written and directed by Anderson, the film’s plot “brings to life a collection of stories from the fictional issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.”
The glorious poster features an old-school-style comic strip that is set in France. The characters are seen in various rooms of a high-rise apartment building, with the newsroom placed on the top floor.
Cast members include Owen Wilson, who is sitting atop a bicycle; Benicio del Toro, who is drawn as an artist; and Timothée Chalamet, who is taking a bath.
Still images for the upcoming film have also been released, and viewers are able to see a shot of Bill Murray looking discouraged at his desk. Murray plays the French Dispatch editor Arthur Howitzer Jr.
Another photo shows Howitzer Jr’s employees, including Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Tilda Swinton, Fisher Stevens, and Griffin Dunne.
The set aesthetic looks very much in line with Anderson’s previous works. The French Dispatch will be hitting theaters on 24 July 2020.

Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie, “The French Dispatch,” is about a fictional weekly magazine that looks an awful lot like—and was, in fact, inspired by—The New Yorker. See exclusive photos from the film: https://t.co/vdIjk8u8E0 pic.twitter.com/ttyCdFVXqI
