‘The Sims’ Heads To Reality TV In Competition Show Where Players Vie For $100K

Iconic video game The Sims is getting the reality television show treatment.
According to Variety, the simulation game is making its way to TBS and BuzzFeed on 17 July 2020 in the form of a new reality television competition series called The Sims Spark’d. 12 contestants will compete with each other through challenges within the virtual realm of The Sims.
Players will be split into teams under three main categories: character design, home building, and story. The winning team will ultimately walk away with a US$100,000 grand prize.
The four-episode series will be hosted by season 14 American Idol finalist Rayvon Owen. The contestants will be judged by BuzzFeed Multiplayer producer and YouTuber Kelsey Impicciche, musician Tayla Parx, and game developer David “SimGuruNinja” Miotke.
