This month, fans of Keeping up with the Kardashians found out that season 20 will be the last season of the longstanding reality show. Now, Kris Jenner has weighed in on the family’s decision to end the series.
Kim Kardashian was the first to break the news on Instagram as she thanked her fans for the support over the last 14 years. Soon, the rest of the family also shared their statements about the show’s final season online.
Following the announcement, Jenner appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to speak about the departure of the show.
“It was kind of sudden,” the 64-year-old said. “We were talking about signing up with our network for another couple of years, but we all came to the decision as a group. It just all came to us after 20 seasons and 14 years.”
Jenner also detailed how the show had captured the family’s ups and downs, including the marriages, divorces, and the births of her 10 grandchildren.
She also added that Khloé was the “saddest” about the show concluding. “She stayed with the crew for hours reminiscing about old times,” Jenner revealed.
The family is now taking some time for themselves to plan for their next ventures, as the show was the main project for all of the members.
