Not all mindless games are bad for health. One video game, Myhixel Play, aims to help men overcome sexual dysfunction by pushing their limits at every level.
The app, designed to progressively prevent premature ejaculation, is an accompaniment to a self-heating, vibrating masturbation gadget by Spanish sexual health firm Myhixel. With the device hooked on, users attempt to pass game levels with real-life exercises that train them to understand and control their muscles.
The program was developed and “scientifically tested” by sexologists, the startup noted.
CNET details that the eight levels are represented by planets. The first, called ‘Kronos’, has the user—now an astronaut—masturbate while watching an animation about pelvic floor muscles’ role in ejaculation. As they work to quite literally beat this round, they’ll learn which muscles are tensing.
The imagery is unabashedly innuendo-filled. The astronaut’s “rocket” lifts off and experiences buildup toward a goal.
The game gets more challenging at each level, ultimately training the penis to stave off early ejaculation during penetration. Patricia López Trabajo, the company’s founder and CEO, described that users are “learning progressively to control their body and their mind” in the process.
Importantly, the game also delivers educational facts about male sexual health. For example, it shares findings from the Urology Care Foundation stating that about one in three biological men aged 18 to 59 has experienced premature ejaculation.
