Would you pay a fortune for an iPhone 11 Pro with a misprinted Apple logo? Someone allegedly did just that and acquired one at a whopping US$2,700.
According to images shared by the Internal Archive account on Twitter, Apple seems to have manufactured an iPhone with a misaligned Apple symbol on the back. The iconic Apple logo on the iPhone 11 Pro model is shown to be positioned off-center and is slightly tilted.
The Internal Archive account stated that this misprinted iPhone 11 Pro could be as rare as one in 100 million, or “possible even rarer.” This makes this particular unit possibly the only one of its kind, therefore increasing its value for collectors.
Internal Archive explained that due to Apple’s quality control practices, units with production mishaps would never leave the factory, thus contributing to its extreme rarity. These products are often destroyed when identified during manufacturing in order to stop them from being shipped out to consumers, noted 9to5Mac.
Whether or not this particular iPhone 11 Pro model was sold at the aforementioned price is unclear. Internal Archive did not provide any evidence to support such claims – such as a screenshot featuring the proof of a transaction or the product’s listing.
