Popular digital currency exchange Gemini has announced that users can now purchase cryptocurrency using Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Just connect a debit card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you’ll be able to buy the cryptocurrency of your choice from within the Gemini mobile app. All done in just a few taps.
This new feature allows users to purchase from over 30 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin. According to Tearsheet, Gemini is also available in over 50 countries worldwide, and the feature is supported in any country that permits Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Funds will be available to withdraw an hour after you’ve made your purchase. Do note, however, that credit cards aren’t supported on Gemini at the moment.
“Supporting Apple Pay and Google Pay advances our mission to empower the individual through crypto by creating another easy way to access this new and exciting frontier,” said Gemini in a statement. You can find out more about the update here.
The announcement follows Gemini’s partnership with Mastercard in producing the world’s first crypto rewards credit card.
