As you might be aware, making crepes can be a little tricky, especially with the first batch. This quaint café in Nagoya, Japan hasn’t just mastered the art of crepe-making, but its pancakes are also prepared far batter—pun intended—with adorable new friends.
Crepes de Anne, a board game café that specializes in animal-themed crepes and bubble tea, will tug at your heartstrings with sweet, edible versions of alpacas, hedgehogs, and pigs you’d want to hog.
The pancakes here are actually made up of two crepes. After fillings are added to the first crepe, it is rolled up into a cone and topped with a second piece, which serves as the “backbone” of the character.
An artist then expertly pipes cream onto the standing pancake to create fur or spikes, before adding the finishing touches of facial features.
If you’re ever in the vicinity, Crepes de Anne is a quick four-minute walk from Nagoya Station. Your only hurdle would be the mental battle stopping you from biting the heads off these lovable animal crepes.
