Netflix Releases Trailer For Spotify Story, Unwrapping Its Origin Through Drama
By Alexa Heah, 28 Sep 2022
Not one to shy away from the nitty-gritties, Netflix is releasing yet another documentary series based on real life, this time inspired by Spotify’s rise to fame.
The firm has since released the first full trailer for the upcoming show, which will tell the story behind the popular music application’s breakthrough in the technology industry.
According to Quartz, the series was based on a Swedish non-fiction book titled Spotify Untold, written by journalists Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud.
Of course, just like the many other films and shows made about these giant social media platforms, most of the story will be told through a dramatic narrative, instead of the usual documentary drone.
However, it’s interesting to note that unlike other projects, The Playlist will be designated as a foreign title on the platform, comprising mostly Swedish dialogue accompanied by English subtitles, instead of the other way around.
Sounds like your cup of tea? Get ready to binge-watch all six episodes on October 13, 2022.
