Bell & Ross Revamps Iconic Flagship Watch For The First Time In 17 Years
By Nicole Rodrigues, 13 Sep 2023
Bell & Ross, renowned for its iconic BR-01 and BR-03 timepieces, has breathed new life into its ever-popular BR-03 model, marking its first significant upgrade since 2005.
With a track record of being the brand’s best-selling model for 17 years, the BR-03 has undergone some subtle but impactful changes. The new 2023 iteration sees a slight reduction in size, transitioning from 42mm to 41mm in diameter, accompanied by a corresponding reduction in lug width.
The watch’s faceted profile has been refined with a subtle curve, enhancing comfort during wear. Additionally, the case’s rounded corners now boast a more generous radius.
The BR-03 2023 collection presents a range of eight colorways, including options with micro-blasted black ceramic cases and brushed and polished stainless steel cases.
Notable enhancements to the new BR-03 model include a slimmer hour hand and improved legibility of the hour markers and indices. The date window has also been relocated from the 6 o’clock position to 4:30.
Under the hood, the watch’s movement has been given an upgrade. It now features the Sellita-based caliber 302, offering a commendable power reserve of 54 hours, a notable improvement from the previous 38-hour reserve.
The BR-03 41mm models are available for purchase directly through Bell & Ross’ website. Prices for these updated models range from US$3,600 to US$4,300.
