Nixon Celebrates Tupac’s Legacy With A Series Of Inspired Watches
By Nicole Rodrigues, 04 Oct 2023
California-based brand Nixon is paying tribute to Tupac Shakur with a collection of five limited-edition watches. These timepieces blend the precision of horology with the artistry of the rap legend.
The first in the series is a golden Time Teller, adorned with a rose in golden hues against a black backdrop. It features the verses of Tupac’s Untitled poem on its face as an ode to his lyrical prowess.
The second Time Teller features a black base with a rich gold finish. It comes with a custom bezel and a bracelet reminiscent of jewelry. You’ll find the bold ‘2PAC’ gold lettering on the watch face.
For those seeking something a little flashier, the gold-on-gold 2PAC Corporal is adorned with custom art inspired by Tupac’s distinctive style. It features an embossed crucifix and numerals at the 3 and 9 positions.
The two-tone 2PAC Sentry Stainless Steel watch is another standout piece, with the ‘2PAC‘ text stretching across the face from 12 to six. It boasts a cross motif and a calendar display.
Last but not least, the oversized 2PAC 51-30 is an imposing black timepiece adorned with three gold roses on the face. This design draws inspiration from Tupac’s notable work, The Rose That Grew From Concrete.
All five watches are available directly from Nixon for those interested in owning a piece of this tribute collection, with prices ranging from US$175 to US$600.
It’s a fitting way to honor the enduring legacy of Tupac Shakur, whose life was tragically cut short in a 1996 drive-by shooting in Las Vegas at 25. In a recent development, Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been apprehended in connection with Tupac’s untimely demise.
And in other music collaboration news, Barbie is honoring Stevie Nicks with a new doll.
