Casio Teams Up With Porter For ‘Aged’ Watch Marking G-SHOCK’s 40th Anniversary

Casio, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of its iconic G-SHOCK watches, has unveiled an exclusive collaboration with the Japanese bag brand, PORTER.
The centerpiece of this special collection is the full metal analog GM-B2100 watch, which has been given a unique aged finish.
This effect adds a vintage touch to the watch’s octagonal form, which was inspired by the design concept of the very first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000.
To replicate the natural aging process, the bezel and band of the GM-B2100 have been ion-plated in black.
Subsequently, parts of the plating have been intentionally removed to create a well-worn, textured appearance.
Adding to its distinctive appearance, the watch features red, blue, and gold accents on the dial, paying homage to the colors of the original G-SHOCK.
The watch hands are finished in a luminescent beige, further enhancing its unique, timeworn look.
On the case back, one will find the 40th-anniversary logo, a design by Eric Haze.
To add to this one-of-a-kind collaboration, the duo has also created a collector’s bag designed in an octagonal shape that mirrors the GM-B2100 timepiece.
Crafted from densely woven, water-repellent Ventile fabric, this premium bag features a leather tag imprinted with the same 40th-anniversary emblem.
