Goop is in legal soup! A lathering dispute in the wellness industry has come to a head, with filing a lawsuit against Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand in late March. The row centers around Goop’s recent launch of a product line called Good.Clean.Goop, which Good Clean Love alleges infringes on their trademark and constitutes unfair competition.
Good Clean Love, founded in 2003, specializes in all-natural intimate hygiene, vaginal wellness, and premium intimacy products, with its brand name emphasizing the natural and gentle nature of its offerings.
Its complaint asserts that Goop’s use of “Good. Clean. Goop” for a sexual wellness product line creates confusion in the marketplace, potentially misleading customers and damaging Good Clean Love’s established reputation.

Beyond trademark infringement, the lawsuit accuses Goop of false advertising. Good Clean Love contends that Goop has made unsubstantiated claims about the health benefits of certain products in the past. This, it argues, creates an uneven playing field where Goop draws from celebrity and financial resources to make claims a smaller brand cannot match.
According to Good Clean Love, Goop’s conduct may result in confusion among consumers at leading retailers such as Amazon and Target, and that the products of both firms compete directly in the highest search results of online platforms.
Goop has yet to respond publicly to the claims.
