After serving up a rather unexpected Hello Kitty x Yu-Gi-Oh Happy Meal collection, McDonald’s Japan is going back to basics, kind of, with collectible toys featuring beloved Sanrio mascots. The campaign, rolling out over two waves, kicked off on April 12 and concludes on May 9.

The first phase, available from April 12 to 25, focused on kitchen-themed trinkets that offered a touch of functionality alongside the usual cuteness. Diners could score a Hello Kitty mini-tongs and container set, a Cinnamoroll star-shaped rice press, a Pompompurin juicer cup with lid, and a Gudetama egg masher.

The second wave, running from April 26 to May 9, shifted gears to portable accessories, spanning a Kuromi comb, a Little Twin Stars compact mirror, a My Melody cardholder, and a Pochacco wet towel case. Adding to the excitement, a mystery toy has also been made available in the second batch. Additionally, on weekends, customers can snag special prizes like Sanrio stickers.

Needless to say, Sanrio fans of all ages would be lovin’ it.
