Adobe Photoshop has officially arrived on Android, giving more mobile creators a chance to access its powerful tools without a laptop.

After months of iPhone exclusivity, Photoshop’s full-featured mobile app is now available for free on Google Play, bringing with it layers, masks, and Adobe’s AI-driven features for quick and professional-grade edits, social media graphics, and digital art that can be done anytime, anywhere.

The app includes key features like the Firefly-powered Generative Fill, allowing users to add, remove, or transform elements in an image with a simple text prompt. It also supports selections, object removal, and the Magic Wand for precision work. The layout is designed to feel familiar to seasoned Photoshop users while offering an intuitive experience for newcomers.

For now, Android users can access the app’s full capabilities for free during the beta period, with no subscription required.

Photoshop’s mobile version isn’t a full replacement for the desktop powerhouse, but it’s a handy companion for making quick edits or capturing creative ideas on the fly. Users can create video thumbnails, social media posts, or even vision boards directly from their phone.

Adobe has also baked in tutorials and community features, so users can learn new skills, find inspiration, and share feedback with other creators.

The creative tech giant says it will continue to refine the app based on user feedback, with additional features and optimizations on the way. For non-iPhone creators eager to work beyond the confines of a desktop, the Android arrival of Photoshop would be a welcome development.
